Journal Entry Week 11

I have successfully created the backbone of the system with a prototype website set up which is the interface that will be presented to the test-group. The phishing sites will be presented there but have not been designed as of yet, currently only a test site has been uploaded to show it is possible to accomplish and change aspects of it. For the purpose of the demo it is imperative to mention that elements on the test site have been changed. Also the survey structure has been set up using Google Forms and all data is saved onto my Google Drive in the form of a spreadsheet.

Journal Entry Week 10

Found more artefacts for my feasibility demo, a very interesting article about color psychology, which I can use for the final design of the web pages. Looking into mirroring web sites, still unsure whether to use a tool to rip a page and modify it to my needs or do it manually - copy over the source code and find all the necessary css files and images. Leaning towards a tool to begin with. Remains to be seen.

Decided to use bootstrap to design the main menu pages, possibly simple html/php for the phishing sites.

Journal Entry Week 9

Still no ethics forms. Continuing with website prototype. Two ways of doing surveys - either using a dedicated survey web app such as SurveyMonkey or creating it myself. Leaning towards making it myself, only downside is that I wouldn't analytical tools, but considering the line of study I'm conducting, I belive a simple text box where the test subjects enter their answers will suffice.

Journal Entry Week 8

Looking into different ways to do surveys. Found several, although on further inspection they all seem to want lots and lots of money for the kind of survey I'd like to do. Need to look into it more.

Journal Entry Week 7

To really get started with the project I need to make start with the practical work. First step would be to create a skeleton website prototype. All practical web design work will be carried out using a text editor (Aptana Studio) and a photo editor.

The prototype will consist of the main page which has a welcome section, information to the test group on the study in hand and a link to take them to the page containing the 4 different sites and also a link at the bottom which will take them to the survey.
